Coronavirus: Bangladesh will not bring back 171 civilians stranded in China, crew members unwilling to go to China
Dhaka Bangladesh has canceled plans to bring back 171 of its civilians trapped in the Corona virus-hit China. He had to take this decision after the Bangladeshi crew member refused to go to China.
Bangladesh Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momin was quoted in local media as saying, "We cannot send any aircraft. No crew member is willing to go there. Therefore, we have asked Bangladeshi nationals present in China to wait. Now only Chinese chartered aircraft can bring back Bangladeshi nationals. Chinese authorities had previously agreed to it, but later declined. In the present situation we are not able to send any aircraft there. '
According to the government, there are 171 Bangladeshis in China who want to return to the country but cannot bring them back. The Boeing 777-300ER aircraft of Biman Airlines, the official airline of Bangladesh, brought 312 Bangladeshi nationals from China on February 1, including 12 children and three newborns.

Momin denied reports that some Bangladeshi nationals trapped in China had complained of lack of food and drinking water due to restrictions on traffic. "China officials are transporting food and drinking water to 23 places where Bangladeshi live," he said. The Bangladeshi embassy in Beijing is in regular contact with its citizens stranded there.
