Departure Season 3 Storyline:

The program is currently being produced. Consequently, a storyline summary is not yet available. The idea of the program has been broadened to include several investigations into disastrous incidents. In the first season, Kendra joined the team looking into the disappearance of flight BGA 716.

After a train with a disaster along the route, she becomes entangled in yet another inquiry in the second season. Politics and political conspiracies only contribute to the overall narrative in Season 3.

Kendra could elect to remain in the USA if the third season is extended, which would alter the dynamic of the group. The next season is expected to include Archie Panjabi as Kendra Malley, Kris Holden-Ried as Dominic Hayes, Florence Ordesh as Rose Tate, and Peter Mensah as Levi Hall.

The cast also includes Tyler Fayose as Arthur Delane, Tamara Duarte as Nadia, Mark Rendall as Theo, Allan Hawco as Richard Donovan, and Claire Forlani as Janet Friel.

Madelyn Strong, who is traveling from New York City to London to see her fiancé, Ali, misses her planned flight and boards British Global Air Flight 716 instead.

Captain Donovan, in command of the flight, seems disoriented. He locks the captain into the cockpit and seems to seize control of the plane with the intention of wrecking it.

BGA 716 has a violent decompression, with Madelyn and the first officer reportedly being ejected in midair. Kendra Malley, who was on leave from the TSIB following an accident that claimed her husband’s life, is called back in to head the investigation and locate the aircraft before those who survived die to cold. The plane vanishes over the Atlantic Ocean.

She is teamed with former police officer Dominic Hayes, who surmises right away that there is a connection between the disappearance and terrorism.

Dom learns Donovan was living a second life while conducting the probe. Search crews are able to find Madelyn after Kendra limits the search area utilizing pings from the plane ACARS system.

After being extricated from the collision scene, Madelyn was sent to the hospital in critical condition with potential concussion. It is questioned if Donovan’s husband knew about her second family but decided to tolerate it.

Dominic interrogates Ali about his prior detention at a demonstration outside the Syrian Embassy and about a parcel Madelyn gave him at the airport prior to departed; the item turns out to be a present Madelyn had left left in her ride share. After Madelyn wakes, Kendra tries to interview her but causes a seizure.

AJ struggles with his father Gavin’s passing because he believes that there were mysterious circumstances surrounding Kendra’s survival & Bartok’s potential participation in the vehicle accident that killed his father.

Israeli Mossad officers contact Kendra and Dominic after following them and revealing that Esmaili was a former double agent rather than a terrorist.

The British Navy finds the BGA 716 black boxes and uses a submersible to try to collect them, but the sub implodes after diving beyond crush depth, killing the pilot while AJ & his girlfriend Sophia observe through a malware installed on Kendra’s computer. Madelyn stumbles to awareness after being lost and confused, murmuring to Dominic before passing out once again.

Madelyn strives to make sense of what happened before the catastrophe as she slowly regains consciousness. A former coworker of Donovan’s comes toward claims that the night prior the collision, while under the influence of alcohol, Donovan confessed his desire to commit suicide the next day.

A key to a locker for storage is discovered during searches of Donovan’s home, and within is a flight simulator that has been pre-loaded with a virtual recreation of the disaster. The Mossad provides a sample of Email’s DNA; it differs from what was found in Madelyn’s raft.

After spray-painting a Bartok jet, AJ discovers that he is being sought by the police; as a result of their argument, Sophia departs from him.

He learns that his father had schizophrenia and attempted to murder himself & Kendra by purposefully wrecking the vehicle while off his medicine while spying on her via her computer.

A strange guy dressed in scrubs seems to try to poison Madelyn in the hospital, but instead injects her father, killing him.
