As he navigates dangerous turns, he rushes against the clock to clear his reputation and solve the mystery, but he is now a murder suspect. This riveting roller coaster ride is becoming even more exciting as the tension builds.
Dhootha follows the story of Sagar, a driven and accomplished journalist played by Naga Chaitanya. When Sagar becomes caught up in a web of mysterious happenings, his life takes a surprising turn. Rainy Visakhapatnam is the setting for most of the story, and director Mikolaj Sygula effectively employs gloomy lighting to let Sagar feel the weight of the world on his shoulders. Both Rajeevan’s production design and sound design by Varun Venugopal (which avoids the clichéd creaking doors or windows) remain in harmony with the story’s demands.
The plot and characters are introduced in the first two episodes. The plot does a good job of avoiding treating Priya, Sagar’s pregnant wife (Priya Bhavani Shankar), as a one-dimensional figure.

Nearly all the way to the case’s beginnings, this journalist had investigated. As Sagar presses on with his inquiry, he finds himself transported back in time to the story’s origins in the 1960s.
Some of Satya Murthy’s contacts misled him, a journalist who was trustworthy and honest. Using Satya Murthy’s fame, they were able to carry out illegal acts in secret and provide an inaccurate image to the public. They eliminate Satya Murthy in order to conceal their secret. His lifeless corpse is bound to the printing press by chains.
