There are just a few of entertainment properties that have stood the test of time to become classics, and the release of Lego Movie 3 marks one of them.
The Lego movie series must also be mentioned when we’re talking about Legos. In terms of its cinematic history, the brand skyrocketed to fame with the debut of 2014’s The Lego Film.
Since that time, it has released a pair of films to generally good reviews at the box office. Even more recently, in 2019, the sequel The Lego Movie 2: The Second Chapter was published. It’s been a long time since we last saw the characters take matters into their own hands.
Because of this, anticipation for the debut of Lego Movie 3 is high. They want to know whether the filmmakers have any further movies in the works. The facts are as follows.
Warner Animation Group & Warner Bros. Pictures co-distributed the American CGI comedy film The Lego Movie 3 in 2024. The seventh film in the Lego Movie series, directed by Tim Johnson and written by John August with input from Phil Lord & Christopher Miller, follows the events of both The Lego Movie (2014) and The Lego Movie 2 (2017).
Emmet (Chris Pratt) & Wyldstyle (Elizabeth Banks) battle an extraterrestrial force intent on colonizing Earth in this animated picture. Will Arnett, Alison Brie, Nick Offerman, Charlie Day, Will Ferrell, Stephanie Beatriz, & Tiffany Haddish are among the returning cast members from the previous films.
Lego Movie 3 Release Date:
It’s the question that gets asked and searched for the most often on websites and social media platforms. Unfortunately, even after this long, the release date of Lego Movie 3 remains a mystery.
We won’t know the exact date until it’s officially announced. In addition, the release schedule suggests that the third film may have been shelved by 2023.

Lego Movie 3 Storyline:
There are currently no clues about the plot of the next LEGO movie. You can count on it being very different from the previous two LEGO movies, however.
This is due to the fact that the new film is prohibited from using Warner Bros. For starters, we can say goodbye to LEGO Batman. New filmmakers Adam & Aaron Nee have a lot to work with if they wish to continue the series’ tradition of include pop culture allusions and appearances from other Universal films.
While the likes of Batman, Gandalf, and Harry Potter won’t be making an appearance in the forthcoming LEGO Movie, Universal has plenty of other iconic characters who can.
When the Powerpuff Girls and the other heroes learn that Kingpin and the other Marvel villains have relocated to a new evil stronghold on the opposite side of New York City, they must join forces with the heroes of Syspocalypse, Ninjago City, & Gotham City to defeat the super weapon.
Emmet and Wyldstyle had a baby boy named Will a year after the Battle of Metropolis, [note 1] during which they successfully repelled an invasion.
They have lost touch with several of their other friends, but are still planning to attend their child’s birthday party in the hopes of reconnecting with them.
They learn, to their horror, that an unidentified armada has arrived and is wreaking havoc in Bricksburg. As soon as it becomes clear that the trucks are transporting alien life, everyone is forced to seek shelter from the onslaught of deadly extraterrestrial invaders.
After two years, the conflict had reached the threshold of a siege. Emmet and his friends are in charge of a small band of survivors as they go into the ruins of Brickburg, but they think it’s too late to win the fight.
They establish a counter-insurgency expedition when Benny is wounded during a search, but their first plan fails and they become stuck aboard a mothership taking off.
Wyldstyle organizes an escape to destabilize the alien complex from the inside, and while Emme and Benny seek support from two scientists called Eli & An, they are able to connect with the captive gang.
The ground team is trying to figure out how to assist, but they are being attacked by aliens who have breached the defenses. The besieged gang hatches a plan of attack, but Metal Beard detects an oncoming threat, and massive bionic tentacles lash out at Wyldstyle before he can escape. Batman is isolated from the gang by a pod, but the others break into his private chamber to assist him recover from his wounds.
For LEGO lovers, Jurassic World is the most iconic and obvious franchise. Adding dinosaurs to the universe of the next LEGO movie might set it apart from the prior two, which were both animated and based on the Jurassic universe property.
The upcoming LEGO film may also include cameos from other popular franchises. In addition to Fast & Furious, the Universal Monsters, King Kong, & the Addams Family, Universal has plenty of other properties to work with.
It’s also worth noting that the next LEGO Movie will be a combination of live-action and animation. A real youngster and his dad acquire LEGOs in the first two LEGO Movies, but the toys go on a journey of their own making in the animated LEGO Movie universe. Having said that, the new filmmakers may be eager to set their film apart from its predecessors.
If that’s the case, the next film might be less whimsical and more straightforward in its depiction of the LEGO characters and the environment in which they live.
