Next Friday, February 2, 2024, Prime Video is slated to welcome Mr. and Mrs. Smith. The initial plan for Glover’s series was for it to premiere on Amazon Prime Video later that year, but filming got underway in the summertime of 2022. Hollywood strikes caused the revival to be postponed once again, this time until November 2023.

Here, two strangers get employment with an enigmatic secret organization, which promises them a life of espionage, riches, travel across the globe, and a brownstone in Manhattan the stuff of dreams in this retelling of Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

Under his overall contract with Amazon Studios, Glover is not only an executive producer and co-creator of the series, but he also stars in it. Everyone from co-creator to executive producer to showrunner is Francesca Sloane. Michael Schaefer and Yariv Milchan of New Regency also serve as executive producers. The 2023 iteration, which Glover & Francesca Sloane co-created, is slated to continue a similar plot while delving into unanticipated territory likely sufficient to need a multitude of episodes.
