Orion And The Dark Storyline:

With his meek, unassuming demeanor, and hidden infatuation, Orion resembles your normal primary school kid. Orion may seem normal on the outside, but below he is a ball of teen worry who is always beset by unreasonable concerns.

Along with worries about mobile phone waves, threatening gutter clowns, as well as the prospect of tumbling off a cliff, he becomes anxious about bees, dogs, & the water.

Orion seems to be an ordinary primary school student: reserved, meek, and carrying about a crush. Orion is really a mass of teenage worry underlying his outward appearance of normalcy.

He is entirely overcome by absurd phobias of bees, dogs, the ocean, mobile phone waves, deadly gutter clowns, as well as falling off a cliff. But of all his phobias, the one he dread the dark the most since he has to deal with it every night.

Dark thus whisks Orion away on a roller coaster journey across the globe to show there is nothing to be scared of in the dark when the actual manifestation of his darkest fear pays a visit.

Orion must choose if he can learn to embrace the unknowable, stop letting fear rule his life, and eventually embrace the pleasure of living as the unusual duo become closer.

Director Sean Charmatz, production designer Tim Lamb, & art director Christine Bian gave the audience an exclusive first look at the enchanted world of “Orion and the Dark” during a highly anticipated session at the prestigious Annecy Animation Festival.

The session provided a tantalizing insight into the visual beauty of the movie by showcasing behind-the-scenes video and work-in-progress materials.

Notably, this project is Sean Charmatz’s first foray into directing a feature picture after working on popular animated films like “The Angry Birds Film 2” and “Trolls World Tour.”

The hand-drawn, illustrated approach of “Orion and the Dark”‘s animation aims to provide an engaging visual experience. The famed author Charlie Kaufman gives the tale depth and intricacy by using his distinctively odd approach.

Each of the figures embodies a different facet of the night, including creatures from Dark like Sleep, Quiet, Insomnia, Dreams, & Unexplained Noises.

Additionally, with a strong voice cast that includes Paul Walter Hauser as Dark and Jacob Tremblay as Orion, “Orion and the Dark” aims to bring these alluring characters to life while providing viewers of all ages with a touching and enjoyable experience.

The novel by Emma Yarlett served as the basis for the narrative of Orion & the Dark, which centers on the life of an apparently normal little child called Orion, who is voiced by Jacob Tremblay.

Orion may come across as meek and quiet, but he is really tormented by unreasonable phobias of bees, dogs, & the dark.

But when Dark, expertly portrayed by Paul Walter Hauser, makes him a surprise appearance on fateful night, his biggest nightmare comes true.

In an effort to dispel any fears about the wonders of the night, Orion and Dark set off on a stunning global voyage together.

In order to finally experience the pure pleasure and surprise that life has to offer, Orion must learn to accept the unknowable & break free from the bonds of fear as their link becomes stronger.
