Rainbow Six Siege Year 8 Season 2 Storyline:
Brava’s cousin died as a toddler, a victim of a botched theft who had no part in the crime. Due of his interest in law, Cardoso decided to study criminal justice after the incident.
After becoming disillusioned with her role as a criminal prosecutor due to her failure to make a meaningful impact inside the system, she opted to join the Departamento de Polcia Federal (DPF).
Cardoso fought federal and interstate crime as an Agent de Polcia Federal before rising to the position of Federal Police Commissioner.
She oversaw probes, issued warrants, and eventually relocated to Brasilia after receiving a glowing reference from the DPF for a position with the Comando de Operaçes Tácticas (COT). With 18 weeks of training under his belt in air, amphibious, and riverfront operations, Cardoso was sent to the COT’s high-risk interventions unit.
Captain Yumiko “Hibana” Imagawa noticed Brava because of her expertise in handling civil aviation hijackings, but she joined Viperstrike because of her consistently excellent performance.
In addition to the reloading updates we discussed in our Y8S1 guide, Ubisoft has announced a number of other alterations. While in Y8S2 a new observation blocker was introduced, in Y8S3 Frost’s “Welcome Mat” gadget is going to be upgraded so that players may remove it themselves if they have the time to do so.
Operators that wield shields will be scrutinized in Y8S4, with certain characters, like Clash, able to see through them. In addition, Year 8 will include MouseTrap, which will punish controller players for using the mouse and keyboard, new controller settings and button remapping for console gamers, and a new “first of its sort in the FPS genre” anti-cheat system dubbed QB.
Reduced round times, attacker invulnerability at round beginning to avoid spawn peeping, and auto-placed defenses are just a few of the changes made to Quick Play.
In Y8S4, we’ll feature an AI playlist that will enable you defend your site against other AI assaults. Later on, we want to include AI defenders, whose CPU opponents would be modeled by the actions of human players.
The game’s main features include destroying the environment and working together with other players. Hostage rescue, bomb defusal, & objective control in confined places are just a few of the game types in which players adopt the roles of attacker or defenders.
There is no overarching story in Rainbow Six Siege, although players may still experience a variety of missions via the game’s “situations.”
These missions are played alone and have a vague storyline revolving around trainees getting ready to face the “White Masks,” a terrorist group that threatens international peace and safety.
Siege is the sequel to Tom Clancy’s narrative-driven tactical shooter Rainbow Six: Patriots and the following game in the Rainbow Six series. Unfortunately, technological constraints resulted to the Patriots being scrapped.
Ubisoft has decided to start the series again, examining its foundations from the ground up. The developers concluded that the game would be most successful if players could assume the roles of top-tier counter-terrorist agents from all around the world.
The development team conducted significant study and talked with actual counter-terrorism forces in order to build realistic siege situations. The siege of the Iranian embassy in 1980 served as an inspiration for them.
Ubisoft’s RealBlast technology, which allows for the development of destructible environments, is used in Siege as its power source to further enhance the game’s realism.
Overall, the game was well received by reviewers, who praised its intense multiplayer experience & tactical gameplay. However, it was panned by others because of its linear advancement and the paucity of substance it presented at the outset.
The game had a slow start commercially, but as Ubisoft implemented a “activities as a service” model, expanding the game’s free downloadable content, the game’s user base exploded.
Siege is now widely considered to be one of the best multiplayer games available, owing in large part to the many upgrades that have been released since the game’s first release.
Rainbow Six Siege Y8S2 is the second season update for the eighth year of the game’s life cycle. In addition to the reworked Consulate map and the new operator, the update also includes tweaks to the Frost operator.
All versions of Rainbow Six Siege received the Y8S2 update on May 30, 2023. The official patch papers and other online sites will provide further information on the particular changes made to the gameplay.
The Consulate map has been completely redesigned for Y8S2. Changes to the windows, flooring, and other parts of the map have been made to enhance player movement and stability. The goal of the updates to Consulate was to make the map easier and more enjoyable for both offensive and defensive players.
Y8S2 adds a new operator called Riptide, as well to the reworked maps. Riptide is a South African assailant who carries a one-of-a-kind device called a “Clearance Drone.”
This drone’s electromagnetic pulse (EMP) charge may disrupt enemy electronics, giving Riptide and his crew a significant tactical edge.
The Frost operator has also been reworked in Y8S2. Frost has tweaked his Welcome Mat device so that it is less obvious and simpler to conceal, making it a more potent surprise weapon. Frost’s loadout was additionally improved for competitive play by adding a new secondary weapon & rebalancing her main weapons.
