Riding A Unicorn Season 2 Storyline:
Wade continues to bury himself in his job and refuses to discipline his children or be a positive role model for Grace and Natalie, even though it has been a year since Jill’s burial and the family is still scraping by on the leftover food.
Grace agrees with Wade that he has to begin dating to put his life in order once the food run out, but Natalie disagrees. Wade’s buddies step in and tell him this.
The date between Wade and Danielle, a divorced lady, turns south once he breaks the news that his wife died; in an act of sympathy, Danielle offers to have sexual relations with him.
Before Wade knows what he wants, he isn’t going to commit to a relationship, he decides. He comes to the realization that he must establish limits and boundaries for his children after learning that Grace & her boyfriend attempted to have intercourse while he was away. His pals are ecstatic to witness him making out with his beautiful neighbor at a soccer team party he helped organize.
A snag arises in Wade’s dating life when he finds his most recent date, Lizzie, to be uninteresting and bothersome. Since none of his pals have dated in a long time, he discovers that they aren’t much help.
Wade, who is too amiable, is unable to end his relationship with Lizzie, despite Michelle’s efforts to have her sister Meg talk him out of it.
After her father finds out that his kid daughter has been covertly capturing images for her Instagram account, he now understands why his daughter is acting out and begins leaving the house without him knowing.
After making up, they have a heart-to-heart, and Wade finally has the guts to leave Lizzie since he knows he doesn’t have to endure an unpleasant relationship. Noah, son of Ben, attempts to show off to Natalie by eating some sour sweets, but he ends very sick.
Because his friends think he has an anger issue, they drag him to a widow support team, where he is the lone male participant. Since the group’s topics of conversation are exclusively sexual, and he believes he does not suffer from an anger issue, he first does not see any benefit in going back.
After Delia encourages him to speak up next time, he vents his frustrations on other married couples who haven’t had it worse. He has to embrace his wrath before he can go on, the other widows tell him.
Wade reveals his newfound findings to his buddies after an evening of heavy partying and drinking. He barely awakens up in time to attend Natalie’s match.
In addition, he assures Grace that she can always count on him, which helps ease her feelings of isolation caused by her family’s strained relationship.
