Secret Playlist Season 2 Storyline:
Somg Han Joo had an internship with Secret Playlist, but she couldn’t have done it without her idol. Levi enrolls in her program, as if by some stroke of luck. Nevertheless, Han Joo was worried that Levi might expose her true identity as PLII, even if she was comforted by his assistance.
While escorting Levi, who is visibly inebriated, to his flat, Han Joo unexpectedly runs into an old acquaintance, Lee Mak Chan. Although Mak Chan was overjoyed to finally see her after all these years, Han Joo appeared a little reserved. Mak Chan assures her that they would have frequent encounters since he is a painter working for Levi’s Company.
The next day, ETube tasked Han Joo with creating a short film chronicling Levi’s musical career from his early years. It seems as if the cosmos is conspiring to draw Han Joo closer to Levi, despite her desire to distance herself from him after last night’s tragedy.
Awakening at the same time, Levi is hit with a jolt from his past the recollection of his kiss with Han Joo. Because he is ashamed of himself, Levi intends to seek Han Joo’s forgiveness. Levi, ever the awkward student, makes a hilarious gaffe as he botch up his apologies at their office appointment with Hyuk Jin.
The episode concludes with the CEO of Taekon Entertainment calling Mak Chan, assigning him the task of reaching PLII, and successfully convincing her to register with their firm.
Due to PLII’s refusal to reveal her identify, Mak Chan is out of luck in getting this assignment done. To what extent will Mak Chan be able to identify PLII, & will PLII/Han Joo really sign with the enterprise?
From the outside, Han Joo seems to be job hunting frantically, but she is really concealing a secret from everyone. She has a hidden social media account called “Plii” where she covers songs while hiding her name from everyone. She works as a music Youtuber and aspires to be a vocalist.
Do Gook, meantime, is nearing the conclusion of his contract as a prominent male idol with the renowned group S.E.Z. Since Do Gook plans to work on his future projects independently, he contacts Plii, who he admires, in the hopes of collaborating with her.
At the same time that Do Gook would not cease looking for the person behind Plii’s voice, Han Joo is to keep her identity hidden from everyone. It comes to be that Han Joo & Do Gook are college friends, yet fate had other ideas. How well will Han Joo’s disguise work against Do Gook? Will he be able to tell the difference?
Han Joo has been shown in earlier episodes as a diligent job hunter going through a tough time. But behind her public persona, she’s a music YouTuber known as “Plii.” Our male protagonist, Lee Do Gook, is a well-known K-pop male idol who performs as Levi for the group S.E.Z.
Something occurred to Han Joo’s mother in the past that had to do with music, therefore she keeps her musical life a secret from her family. Aside from being the CEO of the firm Levi works for, we also see his brother pressuring him to pursue acting.
