When the two people meet, and emotions and feelings get involved, this innocent distraction turns into something new. Not these two. The story is about something else. But also the people they knew in Barcelona and how they got around the city.

Netflix hasn’t yet said that Smiley will be back for a second season, and they may never. But if it does, we think new episodes might come out at the same time as the first season, but at the end of 2023 instead of 2022.

Smiley’s plot is indeed a major draw that affects how well the show does and how much people like it. Smiley is a one-of-a-kind rom-com experience.

The series is about Alex, who is unhappy with his life and has sent a rage-filled voicemail to his partner, but still, it ends up going to Bruno instead. This sparks something hot between them, and it turns out to be a big deal in their lives.

It’s hard to say how much season 2 might have in store for fans and viewers. This is due to the end of the first season being good. The end of the first season was almost a full ending, with Alex and Bruno finally getting over all their problems and starting a real relationship.

In addition, the movie is based on the game by Guillem Clua. Given that the first weather was all about space, there isn’t much more the show’s writers can add or take from the game to make it work on the film.

Things don’t go as planned, though, and it’s soon clear that the whole world is against these two. From forbidden kisses and misunderstandings to both characters being whisked away on their romances, the 8 episodes of the drama do a great job of showing how they feel conflicted.

Several memorable characters with their love problems fill out the rest of the cast. Transvestite Javi is also looking for the right match, while Albert, as well as Nuria, has the perfect marriage, at least on the surface. The couple has problems in their marriage that they have to try to work out.

As if that wasn’t enough, Alex’s friend who works at the bar, Vero, is having trouble with her girlfriend, Patri. Even though Vero and Patri have been together for years, she can’t decide if she wants to take a new job in Ibiza and move on or stay with Patri. This leaves things on a dangerous knife edge.

What’s really impressive about this book is how Smiley keeps things looking different from chapter to chapter. The first one uses a split-screen view to show how Bruno and Alex feel about different things.

In Episode 7, there’s a hard deadline for New Year’s that pops up here and there throughout the 30-minute chapter. In Episode 4, each character’s wants are shown through cutaway videos from a dating app.

I’ve talked about Smiley’s tone before, but it’s important enough to say again. In some ways, this is a lot like a holiday rom-com like Adoration Actually, which strikes the right balance between funny and sad.

Well, Smiley does the same thing, and some of the jokes here are so funny that they make you laugh out loud, which would be great to see. On the other hand, some parts will make you want to cry, especially when Albert is up on stage and says something very moving.
