The third season of “Sonic Prime,” an animated show that transplanted Sega’s legendary Sonic the Hedgehog onto an alternate reality, is now in production. This isn’t your average “Sonic and Friends” story; it spans several dimensions!
After accidently destroying Green Hill Zone, Sonic has been exploring the shatter spaces in search of Prism shards so that he may defeat Dr. Eggman and return home. However, your beloved hedgehog faces fresh challenges in every parallel universe. And the next conflict he faces is completely unexpected.
Sonic’s current adventures in Drop 3 continue up precisely where Sonic and his long-time enemy Shadow left off in the last episode of Sonic Prime, when they were working together to restore the Paradox Prism. Now, however, Nine, a variant of Sonic’s companion Tails from the Shatter universe, has betrayed him and stolen the paradox prism.
One of the most recognizable names in video game history is Sonic the Hedgehog. Since his introduction in 1991, the blue speedster has raced across and down the Green Hills in many media, including movies, comics, spinoff TV programs, and more.
Considering the success of SEGA’s mascot in an open world game as well as on the big screen with Sonic X and Sonic Boom, Sonic Prime belongs to the latter type.

Sonic Prime Season 3 Storyline:

The Netflix promo suggests that Sonic will put his all into rescuing the last residents of Green Hill. The first episode features a fight between Sonic & Dr. Eggman that destroys the world. While racing to discover the Paradox Prism before Dr. Eggman does, Sonic accidently smashes it, setting off a chain reaction across the cosmos.
When he comes to, he discovers that he is lost in the Shatterverse, a collection of parallel realities, and his new companion Nine attempts to get him home.
In an effort to rescue Tails, Amy, Knuckles, Rouge, & Big, as well as his home zone of Green Hill Zone, Sonic will have to go on a perilous journey throughout the shatterverse. Sonic faces unexpected challenges in the many fractured areas he explores, but he also makes unexpected allies and foes along the way.
Sonic the Hedgehog smashes the Paradox Prism, a powerful ancient relic, during a battle with his antagonist, Dr. Eggman. A ripple in the continuum of space-time occurs, separating Sonic from his friends as well as transporting him into New Yoke City, a dystopian version of Green Hill in a parallel universe governed by the Chaos Council, an organization consisting of five Eggman variants (Dr. Babble, Dr. Done It, Dr. Deep, Dr. Don’t, and Mr. Dr. Eggman).
Sonic stumbles and slides as he explores his new environment, taking in the Paradox Prism’s energy and rendering his equipment useless. He meets Nine, a relative of his closest buddy Tails who, without Sonic’s protection, built robotic versions of his tails to use as weapons. Sonic wins Nine’s confidence, and he adjusts Sonic’s shoes & gloves to attune to his new skills.
Sonic and Nine are captured by Amy Rose’s cyborg offspring, Rusty Rose, who puts Sonic through a battery of tests. As a result of the Council’s threat to Nine, Sonic uses all of his strength to create an enormous quantity of energy.
Nonetheless, he becomes aware of what appears to be a hallucination of his competitor Shadow the Hedgehog and flashbacks of their prior battle during the surge.
Shadow had a flashback of Sonic shattering the planet when he attacks Eggman’s badnik, and sees Sonic causing the world to shatter before his eyes.
Shadow doubts Sonic’s motives and tries to prevent him from stopping the looming disaster by stopping him from reaching Eggman. However, Sonic misinterprets his cryptic warnings and aggressive tactics as an attempt to attack, leading to a struggle before Sonic can slow his sufficiently to reach Eggman.
A temporary blackout in present-day New Yoke City is caused by Sonic’s energy surge, which tips off the Council to the existence of a new source of power and ultimately leads to their decision to dissect Sonic & drain him of his abilities.
But the resistance warriors, a cross between Rouge the Bat & Knuckles the Echidna, come and save him and Nine from Rusty Rose and the Badniks.
