‘Strange Angel’ Season 3 Storyline:
On television, Jack Parsons’ narrative has already come to an end. There won’t be an additional season of the Strange Angel television shows since CBS All Access has canceled it.
Jack Reynor, Rupert Friend, Bella Heathcote, Peter Mark Kendall, Michael Gaston, Greg Wise, Angus Macfadyen, Laine Neil, & Veronica Osorio are among the actors who appear in the historical period drama Strange Angel.
The series, which depends on the book by George Pendle, is motivated by the real-life experiences of Caltech’s Jack Parsons (Reynor) in the fields of science, science fiction, & the occult.
Jack’s rocketry profession is profitable in season two as World War II is in full gear. He works for the military-industrial establishment during the day, but at night, he & his wife Susan (Heathcote) immerse themselves in occultism and host a sex cult at their home. Aleister Crowley (Macfadyen), the cult’s founder, and Jack also start dating.
The first season of the Strange Activity television series has 10 episodes when it launched in June 2018. The second season only had seven episodes and began airing in June of the same year. This is the streaming service’s second cancellation. In December 2018, One Dollar was discontinued after one season.
The EVP of Original Content for CBS All Access, Julie McNamara, said that “Strange Angel will not be returning for a third season.” We are incredibly grateful to the creative team of Mark Heyman, David DiGilio, Ridley Scott, as well as David W.
Zucker for their vision as well as the amazing cast for bringing the bizarre story of Jack Parsons to life. “The series brought a fresh meaning to the idea that the truth is stranger than fiction, so we are thankful to them for their vision,” they said.
“Strange Angel” digs into Jack Parsons’ life as a blue-collar laborer in Los Angeles in the 1930s. In American Rocketry, a janitor at a chemical plant, Parsons’ visions give rise to a hitherto unexplored region.
His adventure takes him down a road of the enigmatic, entwining him with Aleister Crowley’s teachings and sex magic rituals. Parsons must negotiate both the scientific and occult realms as he co-founds whatever eventually becomes NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
His life develops into a complex balancing act between the quest of self-actualization and ground-breaking scientific discoveries, reflecting Crowley’s philosophy, “Do what thou wilt, or the whole of the law.”
