The Artful Dodger Season 2 Storyline:
Jack Dawkins, a former naval physician with a criminal past, is the protagonist of The Artful Dodger, which takes place in 1850s Australia. After Dawkins becomes a well-respected colonial physician, an old friend named Fagin drags him back into his criminal past.
Jack, formerly known as the Artful Dodger in London, struggles to keep up his two identities as he falls in love with the governor’s daughter, who dreams of becoming a physician.

Dawkins already has a lot on his plate, and Lady Belle Fox, the daughter of the governor, wants him to help her become the first female physician in the colony.

Dodger and Fagin see Darius in a vulnerable position while attempting to steal 500 sovereigns. After McGregor, who is inebriated, operates on his buddy, Jack and Belle intervene to stop him. In order to repay Darius, Jack, with Fagin’s help, musters all of his cunning.
Gaines devises a scheme to apprehend Dodger and Fagin, who are now under suspicion in connection with the heist. Fagin follows his gut to recover the misplaced funds.
Belle uses her expertise to create an antiseptic. In an effort to get Jack to box, Darius tries to lure him in. The fact that Jack has asked Belle to help with brain surgery makes her very happy. A grave robbery attempt almost goes horribly wrong.
