The Gold Season 2 Storyline:
Author Neil Forsyth of The Gold thinks the theft should need additional investigation. In February, he was quoted as saying, “There is certainly still story to tell, so we must wait and see whatever happens.” He also noted, “there was a lot of narrative and some fantastic characters that we just did not have room for in the show.”
According to The Sun, more of the criminal cast will be introduced in Season 2 of The Gold. Their report suggests that season two would focus on Charlie Wilson, an associate of the group responsible for the 1963 Central Train Robbery who was enlisted to assist in the laundering of the profits from the selling of the stolen gold.
The lives of Jack Lowden’s Kenneth Noye and Tom Cullen’s John “Goldfinger” Palmer will presumably also be followed in future episodes.
The show’s finale also leaves viewers on a cliffhanger. Now that Brian Boyce (Hugh Bonneville) & his colleagues know that the stolen gold has been divided in two, they must decide where to focus their investigation.
The series follows a bunch of thieves who plot and execute the audacious robbery, taking 26 million euros worth of gold bullion, jewels, & cash from a warehouse close Heathrow Airport.
The theft is historically notable since it is still the biggest of its kind. The program explores the events leading up to, during, and after the theft.
The lives of the persons engaged in the theft and the effects it had on them are also examined. In the second episode, all of the crooks who participated in the legendary theft will be shown.
Much of the bullion was lost at the end of Season 1, leaving Boyce (Bonneville) & his staff to wonder where it went. Nicki Jennings (Charlotte Spencer) & Tony Brightwell (Emun Elliott) discover that £13 million worth of gold has gone missing, despite the fact that many of those responsible for the theft, the transfer of the gold, and the laundering of the proceeds have been identified and imprisoned.
Even though Noye is convicted, he concludes with a usually combative final interaction with Boyce, which, if season 2 does go forward, may lead very neatly into the occurrences, which have been reported to have occurred later than the mid-80s season 1 timeframe.
Customs officials inform the police that the criminal group has bought a mobile smelter. They also use the services of John Palmer, a gold trader located in Bristol, to mix the gold with low-quality jewelry before melting it down.
Gordon Perry, a gang member of Cooper’s, and Cooper fence some cash. Cooper puts it to use by purchasing a new Chelsea apartment and a section that houses his daughter’s school.
