The King’s Affection Season 2 Storyline:
The King’s Affection, a production of Story Hunter Productions & Monster Union, hasn’t received a second season renewal yet, hence the second season’s official storyline isn’t yet available. However, if the producers do, it will pick up where the initial season leaves off.
The first season’s central plot takes place during the Joseon Dynasty, when it was believed that twin births were a terrible omen. When the Crown Princess Consort has twins, the daughter is supposed to be executed, therefore she is discreetly relocated to an unidentified place outside the palace where she is kept alive.
After a few years, the identical twin daughter Dam-Yi enters the palace as a cleaner. Following a case of mistaken identification, the male twin Lee Hwi finally passes away, & their mother eventually succeeds in identifying her daughter.
She wants Dam-Yi to depart in lieu of Lee Hwi after learning that she is in fact her daughter. She consents, and despite her best efforts to avoid everyone, she begins to feel something for her first love, a teacher from an aristocratic family named Jung Ji-woon.
