The Lovers Season 2 Storyline:
Six episodes of The Lovers focus on Janet (Roisin Gallagher), a store assistant in Belfast who doesn’t give a hoot about anything, not even her own life.
If the dashing political commentator Seamus (Johnny Flynn) were to suddenly appear in her garden, she shouldn’t give him much of a second glance. After all, he’s self-centered, he seems to have it all in London, and he’s dating a famous actress (Alice Eve’s) character, Frankie.
The fact that they are attracted to one another despite their obvious differences demonstrates that love may appear in the most unlikely of places.
“At the start of the story, Seamus & Janet are so entrenched with their exterior identities,” Johnny Flynn, who portrays Seamus, a political broadcaster, in The Lovers, says.
On the other hand, they ride the tides of knowledge to their genuine selves. I appreciate how David consistently describes them as two opposing halves of his own personality.
A TV program has been greenlit for Seamus, a rather well-known journalist covering current events. At first glance, he seems conceited, but the building is really a trauma center, and I’ve had a lot of fun letting the reader in on the secret. We can have a good time embracing his Alan Partridge-like qualities before realizing that, behind it all, he’s really very affable.
Roisin Gallagher & Johnny Flynn would likely reprise their roles as The Lovers’ lead couple if the show were revived. When it pertains to the supporting cast, however, things are less certain.
The return of Conleth Hill, Jenn Murray, as well as Martin Quinn as Janet’s coworkers at the supermarket seems likely, as Flynn has stated in the past that he finds the scenes involving “Janet in the supermarket as well as the group of people who work there with her” to be “a few of the funniest stuff” in the show.

Janet’s former job in a grocery store and her status as a widow were not factors on which Seamus based his opinion of her. They had made peace with one another and taken the first steps toward a new life together.
Later, Seamus gave up anything for his life & began writing the same tale with Janet to demonstrate how their love and devotion triumphed over the many obstacles they had to overcome in order to begin their new lives on a positive note.
