Although “The Unheard” contains some brilliant moments, they are insufficient to make up for certain obvious errors. Although the idea is sound, it is not very well carried out.
Watson performs the title character in such a whisper that the movie’s intended screams and suspense aren’t carried by their poor performance.
Since they are on their own for a significant amount of the film, it is apparent that they didn’t have enough material or guidance to bring the action to life on screen.
