The Worst of Evil Season 2 Storyline:
Seoul in the ’90s is the setting for the criminal thriller drama The Worst of Evil. A regional police officer is tasked with investigating the sale of “Gangnam Crystal,” a potent new narcotic, by a former DJ.
The senior patrol officer, Park Jun Mu, has to go inside the Gangnam Union to find out more about this narcotic. In order to keep everything running smoothly, he adopts a new identity for the assignment.
Park Jun Mu, who is married to elite officer Yoo Eui-jeong, willingly offers to take part in this perilous expedition. It seems that she has ties to Jung Gi-Cheul, the head of the underground drug trade.
The organizations responsible for the illicit drug trade among the three countries must be stopped by this husband-and-wife team. But when these three face off and their histories resurface, what will happen?
The Worst of Evil is a crime thriller set in the 1990s that follows a team of undercover cops as they infiltrate a huge criminal organization that traffics illicit drugs throughout Japan, China, and Korea.
Yoo Eui-jeong is a high-ranking member of the Security Department of the Seoul Metropolitan Police, and her in-laws are often making fun of Park Jun-Mo, a senior patrol officer in the countryside, since he is inferior in rank and professional status.
Regardless, his wife defends him without fail. He wants to get a raise which matches his wife’s position and is sick of his job emasculating him, so he accepts to work as an undercover policeman for the Gangnam group.
On the other side, Jang Kyung-chul, the CEO of the nightclub owned by the Gangnam Union, recruits Jung Gi-cheul, a DJ there, to serve as his bodyguard because of Jung’s reputation for controlling rowdy patrons.
Over time, Jung Gi-cheul advances through the ranks and takes over as the nightclub’s manager. He proposes selling narcotics to Jang in order to boost their earnings and influence after failing to manage a group of wealthy and powerful clients.
Because Jang does not want to put his company at risk by becoming involved with drugs, he slaps a pail filled with water in Gi-cheul’s face in reaction to the idea. After finally getting their fill of Jang, Gi-Cheul & his comrades plot the murder of Jang and his supporters. Sadly, Gi-cheul loses a close buddy in the battle.
Right after the incident, Gi-cheul meets with the ‘big boss’ of the mafia, Song Dong-Huek. He asks for permission to take over Gangnam region and offers Song fifty million won in profits per month in exchange for allowing Gi-cheul to peddle drugs. Jung Gi-Cheul takes over the Gangnam region and its drug trade once Dong-Huek agrees.
We aimed for a degree of fuzziness in The X Files because we didn’t want to give away any secrets about the supernatural or UFOs. From what we’d seen in the programs, we wanted to make it more gritty and demonstrate that it had elements of Graham Greene, Flannery O’Connor, and more. These are not simple problems. They’re not easy at all.
That was, to an extent, accomplished in Evil Season 1. Season 1’s last two episodes laid the groundwork for some intriguing plot possibilities in season 2. As a first order of business, the program must promptly deal with the possibility that Dr. Kristen Bouchard murdered serial murderer Orson LeRoux.
Aside from the dream David had about her embracing a demon, the reality that her palm was burnt when she touched a cross is another factor.
Despite Evil’s heavy use of ambiguity, it seems like season 2 will cover plenty of ground when it comes to true evil. Viewers are even more captivated by the show’s characters since each one is developing their own unique personality.
The protagonist, Park Jun-mo, is a detective who works in the field of criminal investigations. The detective’s primary objective is to get information on the drug cartel, and he must go undercover and collaborate with the criminal group until he finds what he is seeking.
The episode follows the investigator as he searches for information on the drug cartel & its leader, Jung Gi-cheol. Therefore, he will not have it easy on his voyage, as he will encounter several obstacles and remain in the dark about numerous things.
