Willow Season 3 Storyline:
In Willow Season 1, the heroes’ saga came to a close. To save Kit’s brother Airk from the Crone (Jane Carr), Willow, Kit, Jade, Elora, Graydon, & Thraxus had to overcome numerous perilous challenges.
She was the main antagonist of season 1 who sought to turn Airk, a descendant of the royal line, onto the Harbinger of the Wyrm, a formidable foe for which she worked.
The Crone sent Graydon (Tony Revolori) into another dimension during their last battle as the primary protagonists of Willow, supposedly murdering him. She then turned her attention to the others. Elora ultimately mastered magic control and vanquished the Crone.
She, Kit, Willow, & Thraxus worked together to rescue Airk from the wyrm’s hold. The Wyrm’s lone link to the outside world was cut with the death of the Crone, and the gang went home with a vow to remember Graydon’s sacrifice.
But at the climactic moment, Graydon awoke in a another reality, having lived. He encountered the wyrm there, disguised as Elora, who requested his assistance.
It is obvious that this Order of the Wyrm is still scheming, and ending it permanently won’t be that simple. Even if it is the main storyline point of Willow season 2, further seasons could still be required to wrap up the tale completely.
Years after the events of the first film, a new group of explorers is introduced in the new series.
According to the official summary for the new series, “The narrative started with an ambitious magician from a Nelwyn hamlet and a baby girl prophesied to unite the realms, who along helped slay a wicked queen and drive the forces of darkness from the world.
“The adventure begins as an unlikely group of heroes set out on a perilous quest to areas far beyond their home, where they have to confront their inner demons and band together to save their world,” the book’s subtitle reads. “In an alternate universe where brownies, sorcerers, trolls, as well as other mystical creatures flourish.”
Despite defeating the Crone in a fight, Willow, Elora, and company still haven’t ended the conflict. Prince Graydon, who was thought to be dead, is shown to be alive in the last seconds of season 1 and even looks to be being lured by the Crone.
The scene seems to be setup for Prince Graydon to face up against his erstwhile comrades in a war that feels more high stakes than ever, as a vision of a malevolent Elora pushes him to remain by her side in a struggle to restore “light” back to the world.
Is the crone still alive if this is the case? Is Graydon become the Wyrm’s Harbringer? These are just a few of the inquiries we anticipate Willow Season 2 to address.
