The hidden romance between Simon & Prince Wilhelm of Sweden has dominated the first two seasons of Young Royals. However, after the betrayal at the conclusion of the initial season, this relationship got much more problematic. At one point, Simon even started seeing someone else in an effort to get beyond Wil.
But in the season two conclusion, the Prince chooses to admit that it was indeed him in that leaked sex video all along, just as he had previously agreed to be Wilhelm’s secret. By saying so, he is publicly acknowledging both his sexuality and his love for Simon.
Simon is as shocked by this unexpected change of events as are all the royal advisors, who are sputtering. But how does this imply for the future of the couple?

When it came to the second season, Rudberg said, “I feel like everything was a lot clearer for me. ‘This occurred in season one,’ it was like. Season two may bring about this.” ‘Now we’re talking,’ it seems like with season three. It’s becoming real now.
Omar thinks that, despite what transpires, Simon & Wilhelm will be able to have a happy ending, even if it is brief.
“Simon and Wilhelm are one thing I really simply want to see—will they be content? so that we might experience a little of love. That’s what I want to witness: the unwavering, complete love between two people.
Rudberg concedes, “It can’t be like that all the time. It must be captivating. It must awaken the emotions. But seeing them as a “we against the world” type of thing is something I’m looking forward to. To witness that would be so lovely.
However, Young Royals is going to remain Young Royals, so it’s fair to assume that when the show returns for the third season (we hope! ), you can still anticipate all the drama.
