Along With The Gods Part 3 Storyline:
After dying on the job, firefighter Kim Ja-hong (Cha Tae-hyun) is met by three guardians, Hae Won-maek (Ju Ji-hoon), Lee Deok-choon (Kim Hyang-gi), and their boss Gang-rim (Ha Jung-woo), who usher him into the afterlife.
Within 49 days, they have to accompany & defend Ja-hong in seven trials. In the event of his death, he will be reborn, and his protectors will get merit for their own rebirth.
Ja-hong is put on trial for the arson-related death of a coworker in the initial court, aptly titled “Hell of Murder.” When he was about to be condemned, a coworker advised him to put people first.
Ja-hong tried to go back for his coworker once he and the other rescued people made it out of the building. The court finds in Ja-hong’s favor.
Ja-hong’s guardians argued for his altruism and hard work at the Hell of Indolence court. Upon being sentenced to jail time for admitting he only labored for pay, Ja-hong is spared a second time thanks to Gang-rim, who steps in to explain that the cash was really for Ja-hong’s sick brother and mother.
As the laws of Hell begin to change, ghouls assault travelers headed to the Pit of Deceit. A death in Ja-hong’s family and the subsequent transformation into an angry ghost might explain this development.
Gang-rim breaks off to look into things as the rest of the gang continues on. Ja-hong is suspected of sending forged correspondence to the loved ones of his deceased coworkers, including Ji-yeon, the daughter of one of his victims.
Gang-rim supernaturally connects with Deok-choon to the living world to defend Ja-hong, saying that he had written bogus letters to his mom to cheer her up and allow her to focus on her health, claiming the letters to Ji-Yeon helped her cope with her loss despite her knowing that her father was dead. The case is dropped and all evidence is suppressed.
There have been no leaks or information about the plot that we will obtain in the next sequels of this specific movie series. We’ll be waiting a little longer for those updates, but the creators have already announced that we’ll be getting many returning characters from the season before in the next seasons, along with some fresh storylines that will be introduced from the creators’ thoughts.
