Lee Jae-kyoo will helm the 2023 South Korean web series Daily Dose of Sunshine (Korean), which will feature Park Bo-young, Yeon Woo-jin, Jang Dong-yoon, and Lee Jung-eun.
The Korean web comic of the same name by Lee Ra-ha, a former nurse, is the inspiration for this work. The date of its streaming debut on Netflix was November 3, 2023.
Lee Ra-ha’s Morning Comes to Psychiatric Wards is the inspiration for the next K drama, Daily Dose of Sunshine. Park Bo-young, star of The Strong Girl Bong-soon, takes on the lead role of Jung Da-eun.

Dong Go Yoon finds himself grinning whenever Nurse Jung Da Eun is around, thanks to her sarcastic attitude and observational skills. Jung Da Eun enjoys Song Yoo Chan’s company and is a fan of his music. He looks to be a handsome guy, although he is a load of anguish which nobody knows of.
We think Deul Re’s narrative is meant to demonstrate that one’s whole life and perspective may be influenced or constrained by the acts of others, regardless of the presence or absence of a mental health problem.
Deul Re’s mother was abusive and neglected throughout her childhood. Deul Re had to put herself throughout high school and college by working many jobs since her mother paid little attention to them and she was constantly afraid she would lose everything. Since her mom never acknowledged her efforts, she too struggled with low self-esteem. Even though Deul Re knew her mother was poisonous, she could not let go of needing the woman’s praise.
Because of this, when Hwang Yeo Hwan first asks her out, she declines because she believes he would no longer want to be with her once he learns the truth about her circumstances.
Deul Re’s mother has taken out debts in her name, leaving her in a precarious financial situation, and he has to go to great lengths to convince her to go on a date with him. Yeo Hwan, however, is not deterred and eventually wins Deul Re over and they begin dating.
After some time, Da Eun must face her own history and the ways in which she has consistently disregarded her own demands. Da Eun learned to stifle her emotions when the death of her father caused her mother to take on a great deal of responsibility, including the care of Da Eun and her siblings.
Da Eun’s constant self-doubt stems from her fear of being a burden for others around her. Because of this, she has grown emotionally distant, which has contributed to her sadness.
Da Eun makes an effort in that direction, and eventually the doctor gives her the green light to resume her regular activities. Although she will always have this condition, so long as she has a solid support structure in place, she will be OK.
