The events of Hametsu no Oukoku culminate with Adonis’s quest for vengeance against the capital city of the Redia Empire, which ultimately gives him superhuman strength. In his wrath, he wrecks buildings and murders people without mercy.
Doroka, a believer that good will ultimately triumph, makes it her mission to reach him in the midst of the mayhem and prevent him from doing any more havoc.
Adonis, however, remains overwhelmed with rage, intent on destroying mankind for its treatment of witches, thus her pleadings fall on deaf ears.
The city is finally demolished by Adonis as Operator Eekhout, another of the Redia Empire’s military leaders, resorts to whatever means required to avoid the calamity. He feels that the only means by which to stop Adonis’ threat is to eliminate all prisoners and government workers in the city.
Doroka summons a massive robot to prevent Adonis from doing any more harm, but Adonis’ might is too strong, and he destroys the robot with even greater ferocity. In these closing minutes of the season, Adonis’s life and the destiny of the planet hang in the balance.
