“HEIST 88 is the amazing tale of Jeremy Horne (Courtney B. Vance), a criminal genius with the natural ability to persuade others to do just about anything, who plans to conduct one final heist before heading to jail.
The film is based on actual events. In a bold and audacious attack on the American financial system, he enlists four young bank workers to steal about $80 million, according to the official description for Heist 88.
The statement reads, “The movie is set in an era before widespread computerization and the extensive cybersecurity of today. Additionally, Keesha Sharp, who played Dale Cochran in the acclaimed limited series The People vs. O.J.
Simpson: American Crime Story, and Bentley Green, who most recently co-starred with Vance in the drama series 61st Street, are brought back together for this project.
In addition to Keith David from The Nice Things, Xavier Clyde from City on Fire, Nican Robinson from Beef, and Precious Way from Days of Our Lives also appear in Heist 88.
