Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Release Date, Cast, Storyline, Trailer Release, and Everything You Need to Know

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Release Date, Cast, Storyline, Trailer Release, and Everything You Need to Know:

With only two tantalizing seasons behind its belt, the world of Jujutsu Kaisen has left its fans craving for the thrilling promise of Jujutsu Kaisen season three, prompting intrigue about the impending revival and the mystical day when it will grace our screens once again. Gege Akutami’s compelling animation, which he molded from the mysterious universe, demonstrates the feasibility of adaptation.

The narrative of Yuji Itadori, a man bound by the deadly Ryomen Sukuna curse and pursued by a whirlwind of supernatural adventures & magic, lies at the heart of Jujutsu Kaisen. This is only a glimpse of the mystery that Season 3 will hopefully solve.

The second season of Jujutsu Kaisen is now one of the top shows of the year. There’s good cause to drop by, whether you’ve been reading the comic weekly or you’re more of a Yuji-come-lately, for a short review of the prior arcs and a preview of what’s to come in this depiction of the Shibuya Incident.

In light of this, we have compiled a comprehensive reference manual for the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen. All the information up to this point is there, from the plot summary to the character lists to the release dates. Phew.

Check out the Jujutsu Kaisen season two release calendar for a more in-depth look at the drama’s (arguably, pretty weird) distribution plans. We also have recommendations on how to view Neon Genesis Evangelion in sequence and on how to watch Attack on Titan: The Final Chapters (coming in just a few weeks!).

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Release Date:

The second season premiere of Ujutsu Kaisen aired in 2023. In March, the official Jujutsu Kaisen Twitter account announced the release date, together with an expanded tease video, which you can view above.

The English adaptation of season two of Jujutsu Kaisen premiered on July 20, a week following the episode broadcast in Japan; so, the dub will always be two episodes behind the original.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Trailer Release:

The third season of Jujutsu Kaisen does have a trailer video.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Storyline:

Yuji Itadori is a Sendai, Japan, high school student with superhuman levels of physical fitness. Yuji’s dying grandpa imparts two life lessons to him: “always help others” & “die surrounded by others.”

When Yuji and his Occult Club companions unseal a moldy finger talisman, they invite curses to their school. To save Jujutsu Sorcerer Megumi Fushiguro from the curse of Ryomen Sukuna, Yuji eats the finger.

All sorcerers must quickly exorcise Sukuna (and by implication, Yuji) because of his wicked nature. Megumi’s teacher, Satoru Gojo, witnesses Yuji’s continued physical control and proposes to his superiors that Yuji be spared the death sentence if he is allowed to train with Gojo until he eats all 20 of Sukuna’s fingers, thus removing the curse.

Meanwhile, Cursed Spirits like Mahito and corrupt sorcerers like Suguru Geto (who was killed by Gojo a year ago) are planning a multi-pronged assault on the realm of Jujutsu sorcery.

In order to become sorcerers, Gojo teams Yuji and Megumi up with fellow a first-year Tokyo student Nobara Kugisaki. However, after a mission gone awry, Sukuna takes complete control of Yuji’s body, and Yuji lets them both perish.

Despite this, Sukuna resurrects Yuji since he’s developed feelings for Megumi. Gojo conceals Yuji’s resurrection so he may continue training with him even though he knows the higher-ups in Jujutsu want to have him killed. When Yuji’s classmate Junpei Yoshino falls prey to Mahito’s schemes, Yuji swears revenge.

In 2006, when Gojo & Geto were sophomores at Tokyo Jujutsu High, we’ll go back in time for Season 2. Following the events detailed above, Master Tengen will give them an elite mission: returning the student Riko Amanai safely to class.

There is a reward on the girl’s head since she is the Star Plasma’s next vessel. Sorcerer Killer Toji Fushiguro has joined the hunt for her life. We can’t wait to watch how this fight pans out since he sounds likes he’s in a league of his own.

The Death Painting Arc, which spans chapters 55-64 in the manga, served as the finale for Jujutsu Kaisen’s first season. Season two’s Hidden Inventory/Premature Death storyline is based on chapters 65-79 of the original material, continuing the narrative from where it left off. In this flashback, we followed Gojo & Suguru Geto back to the beginning of the 2000s to discover more about their past.

The manga’s creator, Gege Akutami, has spoken out about how much he enjoys season two of Jujutsu Kaisen. His third episode review reads as follows:

There seems to be a lot of 3D directing & key animation in this season. In my opinion, it has matured into a crucial talent for those working in the animation field. The golden age of anime!

Trailers and press releases have revealed that the manga’s Shibuya Incident arc will take place after the flashback arc. That suggests, without giving too much away, that season two will focus on big character changes and revealing who the mole lurking in the school really is.

The Death Paintings Arc in Jujutsu Kaisen, which spanned chapters 55-64 of the manga, marked the end of the show’s first season. Gojo’s History Arc (Hidden Inventory/Premature Death) was adapted in its entirety for the second season, including chapters 65-79 of the manga.

That is about a mission that Gojo and Geto completed in the past, during which they escorted a star’s plasma vessel to Tengen. The second season of Jujutsu Kaisen is adapting the Shibuya Event (chapters 79-136) and has therefore returned to the current day.

We won’t give anything away, but if you’ve been keeping up with the Shibuya Incident Arc, you know that Gojo & his new cursed alliance are hatching a plot to shut away Goto.
