Lockwood & Co Season 2 Release Date, Cast, Storyline, Trailer Release, and Everything You Need to Know:
Is there anybody who isn’t waiting on the edge in their seat for Season 2 of Lockwood & Co. to premiere? This is a feeling shared by the majority of people. However, things have taken a sad turn, and the program has been cancelled.
Those who haven’t seen it yet should know that Joe Cornish, the man behind the compelling storyline of this critically acclaimed British detective television series on Netflix, is responsible for its success.
In December of 2020, Lockwood & Company was given the go light by Netflix to become an eight-part serial. Joe Cornish acted as both the show’s chief author and director.
America has been fortunate to have its own homegrown ghostbusters in the war against ghostly ghouls. What about us, though? It may surprise you to learn that the British are not immune to ghosts.
Fortunately, Netflix evened the playing field with Lockwood & Co., a new adaptation of Jonathan Stroud’s young adult novel series. With Joe Cornish (Writer, Director, Attack the Block) on board, our main “problem” is that the first season should include more than eight episodes.
In light of this, we at Digital Spy invite you to grab a few salt bombs & join us as we discuss the forthcoming second season of Lockwood & Co. on Netflix.
Lockwood & Co Season 2 Release Date:
According to a May 2023 article from Variety, the program will not be returning for an additional season because “while Netflix was pleased with the series, and especially the work than had gone into it, viewing numbers failed to meet the threshold to greenlight a new season.”
With sorrowful hearts, we inform that Lockwood & Co. will not be returned for an additional season,” the production firm Complete House said in a long statement regarding the cancelation.

There is currently no accessible trailer for Season 2 of Lockwood & Co. Previous season trailers may be seen on the show’s official YouTube account.

Lockwood & Co Season 2 Storyline:
If Lockwood & Co. gets picked up for a second season, the cast won’t be lacking in storylines. Unanswered questions from the first season of the Netflix program remain, such as what happened to Lockwood’s parents and what exactly is in the forbidden chamber. The Hollow Boy, The Creeping Shadow, & The Empty Grave are three additional works that might be mined for the tale in a second season.
We could see a fresh wave of ghost sightings, demonstrations in London, a mystery involving the Fittes Agency or the Brixton Cannibal, or a new member of Lockwood & Co. called Holly Munro in season 2.
We were hopeful that the second season of Lockwood and Company would rapidly answer the question of what was beyond Lockwood’s hidden door. We’re already optimistic that Cornish will be able to find a new home for the show, but now we have even more reasons to believe it will.
The Golden Blade’s comments regarding Lockwood’s parents and his relationship to Penelope Fittes were the first red flags. Then there was George’s effort to determine the origins of “The Problem.”
Viewers of Netflix will have to resort to books for further plot developments unless an alternative distributor is established. The first season was based on The Screaming Staircase & The Whispering Skull, the first two novels in Stroud’s trilogy. Read The Hollow Boy & The Creeping Shadow to figure out what happened next.
There were several loose ends left at the conclusion of the first arc of Lockwood & Co. The most pressing of these is the fate of Lockwood’s parents.
They’re dead at the beginning of the program, but Anthony’s run-in regarding the Golden Blade suggests there’s more to their tale. Even Anthony is confused about what’s happening right now.
The second major story detail that needs explanation is Lockwood’s upper chamber. He’s kept it locked up all season and forbade anybody from ever opening it to see what’s inside. Anthony has been keeping his secret from his colleagues for eight episodes, but now he’s ready to let them in on the secret.
As this chapter of Lockwood & Co. comes to a conclusion, there is one thing we know for certain: the future is not predetermined. A wealth of intriguing mysteries were left behind after the program ended, like breadcrumbs going farther into the mysterious woods of the Lockwood narrative.
Among these unknowns, the fate of Lockwood’s parents is particularly intriguing because of the mystery surrounding it. We were informed early on that they had left Earth, but Anthony’s run-in with the mysterious Golden Blade drew out some intriguing possibilities. It’s a mystery so perplexing than not even Anthony knows the answer.
In light of this, the possibility of this unexplored region being explored is fascinating if, in the future, Lockwood & Co. Season two is revived.
There are likely still more mysteries and hidden details to be uncovered in the Lockwood & Co. narrative, including what really happened with Lockwood’s parents.
Where To Watch Lockwood & Co Season 2?
Sorely, no. According to Variety’s sources, Netflix has officially canceled production on Season 2. Boo! Producing company Complete Fiction issued a statement verifying the news. The decision to cancel Lockwood & Co. for a second season was not made lightly.
