In each next chapter, Lucius encounters a new challenge before being whisked away to Japan again. His travels take him to zoos, fertility festivals, waterparks, personal baths, and contemporary bath homes. There, he consistently finds the motivation to tackle the precise challenge assigned to him.
Lucius, however, had a less than ideal fate. Problems in his career life began to crop up for him shortly after, and they only got worse from there. His superiors scolded him because he had run dry of fresh concepts.
When Lucius ran out of ideas for potential jobs, he began to have a crisis. During his travels through ancient Rome, Lucius stumbled into a hidden passageway under a spa.
He found himself transported to a Japan of the future, where technology had evolved to an unprecedented level, via the tube. Lucius continued to wander about in wonder, taking in the incredible progress that humanity had made.
The experience taught him a great deal about contemporary architecture and inspired Lucius to up his game as an architect in ancient Rome.
In order to gather inspiration, Lucius toured several public and private restrooms, water parks, and zoos across Japan in the future. It all depends on Lucius’s secret, which might lead to his banishment or perhaps his death.
