The Pritchetts, the Dunphys, and the Tuckers of Los Angeles are the subjects of Modern Family, a mockumentary family comedy that follows the complicated yet buoyant everyday lives of the Pritchetts, the Dunphys, and the Tuckers. Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan are responsible for the comedy series, and they based it on their own “modern families.” The premiere was broadcast on September 23, 2009.

Modern Family Season 12 Release Date
Production on the eleventh season of Modern Family was renewed on February 5, 2019. On September 25, 2019, the debut episode of Season 11 was shown. On April 8, 2020, the last episode of the series aired. The last episode of the most recent season of Modern Family attracted 7.37 million first-run viewers and rave accolades from critics across the globe. The disappointing news is that after the debut of the eleventh season, the show will no longer be airing.
Modern Family Season 12: Why it was canceled?
It was clear for quite some time that Modern Family was likely going to sign off shortly, even though co-creators and showrunners Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan never gave a single definitive explanation why the program ended. Lloyd and Levitan hinted that it might be the last year of Modern Family when the show was renewed for a tenth season. That followed the substantial drop in critical favor that Season 9 of Modern Family saw.
Reviews for Season 10 of Modern Family went back up, and the show’s creators and producers were intrigued to see where the family would go from there, so they decided to give it another go with Season 11. ABC was delighted to comply, however the request did not result in the cancellation of Modern Family. So, it was more of a pushed back pronouncement than anything else when Modern Family was renewed for an eleventh season and soon called the last season, giving viewers one more year with their beloved characters. The question then becomes, why did Modern Family stop airing? The show’s major plot had found its logical conclusion at that moment.
Modern Family Story
The show centers on Jay Pritchett, a successful businessman, his wife Claire, and their two children, Mitchell and Cam, who live in a suburban Los Angeles neighborhood with three other families (one nuclear, one mixed, and one same-sex).
Jay wedded a much younger woman, the passionate Colombian immigrant Gloria Delgado (née Ramirez) [6]. Together, they had a small son, Fulgencio Joseph (born in the middle of the fourth season), and a stepson, Manuel “Manny” Delgado, from Gloria’s previous marriage. DeDe and Javier, Jay and Gloria’s ex-spouses, also make guest appearances every so often.
Once a stay-at-home mom, Claire decided to go back to work at the beginning of the fifth season, and by the middle of the seventh season, she had worked her way up to CEO of the family firm, Pritchett’s Closets and Blinds. Her husband Phil Dunphy is a realtor, a self-proclaimed “cool dad,” an amateur magician, and a professor of real estate at a local community college.
Haley, the stereotypically ditzy adolescent girl; Alex, the clever and geeky middle kid; and Luke, the eccentric only son, are their three children. Dylan, Haley’s on-again, off-again lover, is a series regular since he and Haley end up getting married at the conclusion of the tenth season and having two children, Poppy and George.
Lily, a Vietnamese orphan, is Mitchell and Cameron Tucker’s adoptive daughter. Later on in the series, they decide to adopt a second kid and name him Rexford. The program, as the title says, presents a contemporary nuclear family, and many of the episodes are comedic takes on problems that many families face.

Modern Family Season 12 Expected Plot
Despite the fact that Modern Family’s creators have billed season 11 as the show’s end, they are free to proceed with the story we’ve outlined if they so want. The eleventh season of Modern Family included a lot of fresh material. Mitchell and Can’s adoption and subsequent relocation to their new home had been seen by everybody. Hayley’s parenting and Phil and Claire’s efforts to acclimate to their new role as grandparents have also been shown.
