Black Mirror Season 6 Release Date, Cast, Plot, and Everything You Need to Know
Fans of existential angst or tech-based hyper anxiety will love this: Netflix has given the go-ahead for a sixth season of Black Mirror, Charlie Brooker’s groundbreaking dystopian drama series.
Variety announced the details today, confirming we can expect more episodes since we got in season 5 three years ago (only three, but they were huge), and the usual crap well about new episodes being “even more filmic in scope, for each installment of been treated as a separate film.”
Is this news only good? Fans of the show might very well say that it lost some of its uniquely British good sense of humor when it moved to America to stream for its third season in 2016.
As far as we’re concerned, every weather of Black Mirror is a gloriously good mix, with some episodes reaching dizzying heights of idea and implementation and others being complete duds. A component of what makes the show so good is that people argue about which is which and appreciate the risks it takes.
A few years have passed since the fifth season was added to Netflix’s streaming service. Before that, Brooker fed us a regular dark, weird science fiction diet, releasing new episodes or specials every year. It’s the longest time since Black Mirror moved from Channel 4 to Netflix a year ago that no new episodes have been released.
At the moment, there isn’t much information, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t any, there is reason to be excited about the TV show. Well, maybe “excitement” isn’t the correct word when looking at how topics us worse, but we are looking forward to it.

Booker and Jones left their “House of Tomorrow” production company in January 2020. The company has been supported by Endemol Shine Group, which was bought by Banijay Group. The two creative people then formed a brand-new production company called “Broke and Bones.” Netflix invested $100 million in this new company, which gave Banijay Group the rights to make Black Mirror.
Black Mirror Season 6 Release Date
The official release date hasn’t been announced yet, and the show’s creators haven’t been very open about upcoming seasons in the past, so we might not know for sure until a trailer comes out. Most seasons of the show come out in December, but Season 2 came out in Feb, Season 3 came out in October, and Season 5 came out in June.
The fifth season was supposed to come out in December, but it was pushed back because of all the work which went into making Bandersnatch, a special that aired on Dec 28, 2018. If we’re lucky, the new season might come out in December 2023.
Black Mirror Season 6 Cast
Aaron Paul, Danny Ramirez, and Zazie Beetz are among the most well-known actors linked to season 6 of Black Mirror. Over the years, Black Mirror has cast more and more famous people. Miley Cyrus and Anthony Mackie, who is a regular in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, have both been in an episode.
In sequels or spin-offs, there’s also a chance that people from the original cast will play the same roles again. In 2016, Brooker stated to The Independent that he had ideas for sequels to the season 2 episodes “Be Right Back” and “White Bear” and that they “almost” made sequels to all those stories. Black Mirror Season 6 Plot
No details about the story are known yet, but many reports say that Season 6 will have more occurrences than Season 5. Since the renewal news, fans have assumed that Black Mirror Season 6 will have between 3 and 6 episodes, each of which will be about 41 to 89 minutes long on average.
The length of the plot for the following season will depend on how many episodes are in this season. Since about July 14, 2022, we don’t know for sure what the episode names as well as plot summaries will be for the next season. So, we recommend that viewers wait a while as Netflix would then confirm these details in the coming months as the release date gets closer.
Variety said that there would be a sixth season of “Black Mirror,” but they didn’t say much else about it.
